From pets and wildlife to hobbies, vehicles, occupations, buildings and personal designs, we’ll work from the information you provide to create a distinctive weathervane that’s completely your own.

Once your order is placed, we’ll create your bespoke design and email a visual to you for approval before manufacture begins.

Every Black Forge Art weathervane is handmade to order in the UK from rust-free stainless steel and built as a fully functional wind direction indicator — not simply a decorative silhouette.

Combining traditional metalworking with modern precision manufacturing, each weathervane is individually made, finished and tested before being carefully packaged for delivery.

Black Forge Art has been making weathervanes and bespoke metalwork since 1989. Our weathervanes are made to order by our experienced metalworkers, with every component carefully fabricated, welded, assembled and checked before leaving the workshop.

Our designs combine the character of traditional British weathervanes with modern stainless steel construction, allowing us to produce detailed silhouettes without compromising strength, movement or weather resistance.

Alongside our weathervanes, Black Forge Art also produces bespoke signs, architectural metalwork and public art commissions throughout the UK.

Your Bespoke Design

Your £75 bespoke design service covers the creation of your weathervane design from the description, photographs, sketches or other reference material you provide.

We’ll create a visual of your proposed design and email it to you for approval before manufacture begins. If any reasonable adjustments are required, these can be made as part of the design process before the final design is approved.

Because every bespoke weathervane is individually designed, the final silhouette may need to be adapted from your original photograph, sketch or idea to ensure it is suitable for manufacture and works effectively as a weathervane.

Every Black Forge Art stainless steel weathervane comes with our 15-year guarantee, covering:

• Rust or corrosion
• Weld or part failure
• Loss of proper function

Design & Manufacturing Lead Times

Every bespoke weathervane is individually designed and handmade to order.

Please allow approximately 10 days for us to create your bespoke design and send your visual for approval.

Once the design has been approved, manufacture typically takes a further 2–6 weeks, depending on our current workload.

Returns

As this product is designed and made specifically for you, bespoke and personalised weathervanes are not normally eligible for return if you simply change your mind.

This does not affect your rights if your order is faulty, damaged or not as agreed.
