Public Works Of Art

Alongside our own more traditionally designed metal artwork we also much enjoy the occasional foray into the world of public works of art when we find ourselves invited to contribute to such, either by the local authority, building contractors, artists or privately commissioned by an individual or group.

Mumur - Copper Railing Art, Brighton

Multi-bird cut consisting of 100 copper starlings which we manufactured, verdigris-ed and installed across the railings atop a podium garden terrace at the Guinness Housing Project in Hove, Brighton, so forming a permanent murmuration of Brighton’s starlings across these.

This particular and most recent installation was enjoyed over a particularly pleasant sunny week very recently in May ’25 and designed by artist Kerry Lemon to celebrate the iconic starling flocks of Brighton and Hove, while drawing attention to their declining population.

Village & Town Signs

The most pretigious and recognisable public art is a town or villages sign. We are proud to offer full design, manufacture and installation of many of these symbolic signs over the years. We extensively use stainless steel for many of these larger commissions. Read more on our dedicated village sign website.

Vista - Corten Flora, Wiltshire

These sculptures highlight and promote the local environment and ecology with the metals used being sustainably sourced and recyclable. – E.g. corten steel, which earlier this year we used for a flora-themed series of tall, rectangular plaques alongside a country path leading to a new housing project in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

Touching Riverdown - Corten Columns, Laverstock
